On March 6th, Wu Jiankun, Deputy Director of the Municipal SafetyCommission Office and Deputy Director of the Emergency Management Bureau,presided over a city wide safety production supervision (inspection) workpromotion meeting. Yue Jun, Director of the Municipal Safety Commission Officeand Director of the Emergency Management Bureau, attended the meeting anddelivered a speech.

The meeting pointed out that in the past year, under the leadershipof the leaders of various supervision (inspection) groups, 7 supervision groupsand 6 inspection groups in the city have fulfilled their duties andresponsibilities, and have done a lot of in-depth and meticulous work tostrengthen the safety production responsibility chain and improve the intrinsicsafety level of Changzhou.

The meeting requires a combination of "problemrectification" and "experience summary". Each inspection andsupervision team should take the discovery of safety hazards as the startingpoint for their inspection and supervision work. They should wear a magnifyingglass to inspect problems throughout the process, use a "scale" tomeasure shortcomings, and present a "task book" to seeimplementation. On the one hand, we must adhere to a problem oriented approach,and on the other hand, we must seek true knowledge from grassroots practice.Secondly, we need to combine "disciplinary accountability" with"solving practical problems". Each inspection and supervision teamshould take promoting the resolution of practical issues as the "foothold"of the inspection and supervision work. On the one hand, it is necessary tonotify, warn, and interview relevant responsible persons of units who fail toimplement their responsibilities, take inadequate measures, and fail to promoteeffectively, and propose suggestions for accountability; On the other hand, weshould actively guide and help grassroots solve practical problems in safetyproduction work. We must combine "self inspection" with "publicreporting". Each inspection and supervision team should take theconsolidation and improvement of the city's safety governance level andcapacity as the "foothold" of the inspection and supervision work. Onthe one hand, it should go deep into the grassroots and enterprise frontline tocarry out inspection and supervision, and on the other hand, it should furtherinspect the actual effect of the reporting and handling mechanism.
